Why We Wear Crocs at Work

They may not be the height of fashion, but wearing Crocs to work is a ritual we swear by here at Twill Wallcovering Installations.

But why is that? Surely, there are much more in-trend options out there. Well, it’s not a matter of style. It’s a matter of comfort, respect and taking extreme care in the work we undertake for our clients.

They’re Comfortable

There’s no denying how comfortable Crocs are to wear. When it comes to luxury wallcovering installation, our wallpaper hangers are on their feet for all hours of the day.

Because of their padded soles and lightweight material, they’re the ideal choice for us when working in our clients’ homes.

Comfort is crucial when it comes to our work. It allows us to place all of our focus on completing a project to the best of our ability.

Quite frankly, if you’re on your feet all day and aren’t wearing Crocs to work, we think you’re missing out.

We Care About Our Clients’ Homes

Due to the expensive nature of the materials we work with, this naturally leads to us working in expensive properties.

We work with some incredibly prestigious clients, who are interested in the world’s best designer wallcoverings. Their interiors are often of high value, and we’re always mindful of showing respect to them and their properties.

At Twill Wallcovering Installations, we understand personal space is also an important factor in good client relationships. In addition to the soft shoes, we’ll always look to stay out of the way and make as little noise as possible during our work on a project.

We only ever wear indoor shoes when completing indoor tasks. The shoes (in this case, our Crocs) will never be used outdoors.

Crocs at Work Don’t Cause Damage

Well, apart from to an outfit’s ensemble, that is.

As we’ve mentioned previously, wearing indoor shoes is best practice when working indoors. As well as high-end wall coverings, a client will often have luxury floor coverings and furniture.

The higher the value of an item, the more expensive it is to replace or repair. Often, there are heirlooms and artefacts you simply cannot put a price on. Why would we risk any damage from thick work boots or old trainers?

The simple answer is: we wouldn’t.

By wearing soft shoes, we minimise the risk of causing any such damage. Floors are left intact by a perfect combination of soft Crocs and delicately-placed plastic or drop sheets. Sheets are placed in any area we work in, further safeguarding clients’ properties.

Any high-value items are protected, with mitigated risk of any expensive accidents.

Although, regardless of its value, we treat every property the same; with dignity, respect and the utmost care.

So as you can see, wearing Crocs during projects isn’t all bad. They’re comfortable, and ensure our clients feel 100 percent at ease with having us in their home or property.
